Origin: Austria
Wine growing area: Niederösterreich
Wine village: 3472 Hohenwarth
Vinyard: Ried Hochstrass
Terroir: sandy soil with gravel in the deep and a high content of lime
Size of bottles: 0,75 lt, 1,5 lt Magnum
The harvest is made by hand. After destemming and skin contact for around 8 hours, pressing is done by pneumatic press. The juice can settle then for about 12 hours, only the clear juice is used for fermentation with only natural yeast in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks.
Wine description:
Focused, almost overripe Riesling fruit on the nose; racy acidity with traces of minerality on the palate noble flavour of apricots and a touch of peach – the result of strict grape selection!

Residual sugar: 4,1 g/l
Acidity: 6,4 g/l
Drinkable and food comparing:
Drinking potential up to 10 years. Riesling is the ideal companion for eating. Whether for starters, spicy Thai dishes or even cooking from Mexico and the Middle East, the Riesling can be combined with all these different dishes.
